Our Favourite Markets & Festive Finds
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and that means Christmas market season on Vancouver Island! From Victoria to Courtenay, the VanIsle Sisters have rounded up the best local spots to shop, sip, and soak up the festive spirit.

A Vancouver Island Trail Worth Protecting
Since moving to Nanaimo, Cable Bay Trail has been our family’s go-to adventure spot from baby carrier days to a wild, leaf-collecting toddler and a dog who only listens half the time. Between the ocean views, forest carvings, and sea lions at Dodd Narrows, every visit reminds us why this trail is such a special part of Island life, and why it’s worth protecting for generations to come.

      Moms Gone Mild (ish)
Three moms, one unforgettable night in Victoria. From a delicious dinner at Rudi’s to the endless pours of the Victoria Wine Festival, and a little post-wine dancing downtown, we proved that moms still know how to have a very good time. Here’s the story of our perfect “Moms Gone Mild” getaway at Chateau Victoria.

      Exploring Quadra Island
From whale watching and ocean views to quiet moments of reflection, this journey was all about mindful living, connection, and grounding ourselves in the beauty of the island.

From 10K Torture to RibFest Redemption
Carly and Michaelia survived the Tall Tree 10K, evil hill included, and rewarded themselves with a mountain of ribs, sides, and laughs at Esquimalt RibFest. A day of sweat, near-death, and smoky BBQ bliss with friends and family, life doesn’t get much better than this.

Four Women, One Island, Endless Adventures
While we each call different parts of the island home, what connects us is a shared love for nature, good food, supporting locals, and finding those everyday moments that make living here so special.
